Product Overview The PROSlide™ FLAT Hind shoes are specially designed to facilitate many of the needs of today’s performance and sport horses. The PROSlide™ features a uniform stock thickness of 1/4", a beveled toe to allow for ease of breakover and leverage reduction and a crease-less ground surface to allow for more "slide" that is required by many performance horses. The PROSlide MAX has a toe section width of about 1". The nail holes are set so the nail head can be ground flush causing the shoe to have a reduced amount of friction. The foot surface of the PROSlide™ is well seated out to allow for good sole relief. And finally, alignment marks on the center of the shoe make it easier to get the shoe properly placed around the widest part of the foot to maintain good D/P balance.

Possible Uses The PROSlide™ FLAT Hind Shoes can be used for a wide variety of disciplines including rodeo, western performance, western show horses, working cow horses, etc., but it is primarily used on reining horses. The extra heel length and wide-web design allows the shoe to support the foot in the deeper arena surface. In cases of minor lameness issues caused from excessive strain, leverage, or horses with Negative Plantar Coffin Bone Angles, the PROSlide™ hind shoes incorporate many features that have proven to help relieve or overcome these lameness problems.
